As some of you have no doubt noticed, our email notification system has been getting a little sluggish. We’ve spent some time investigating solutions that will scale to the number of people asking for notifications, and we think we’ve found something that will work.

What this means for you: you’ll need to re-subscribe yourself manually. You can do so here: http://sc-s.com/tools/e-mail-notifications/.

Hello everyone!

I wanted to send out this post to let everyone know we are back online! I truly am sorry for any problems this may have caused us. We had some major issues with out domain. No sense in going into detail but all is well, our wire transfer for the renewal wasn’t going through. I want everyone to know that we shouldn’t be having any more problems. Myself and all of the sc-s.com staff would like to thank everyone for standing by us during our little adventure. Just know we have highly trained flying ninja Monkeys constantly working to keep the site up and maintained. And by Monkeys I of course and talking about the wonderful staff that helps out here!

Ironically enough there wasn’t a code posted yesterday, so phewph that’s good. We are always looking for feedback on what you would like see done on the website, or changed. This is a site where everyones opinions do matter so we always encourage suggestions to make us better, different and the most effective site out there!

Swag Code Spoiler Raffle

Hi everyone,

We’re hosting another raffle! For those of you who didn’t participate in the last one, you’ll need to register a new account if you don’t already have one.

This time, we’re raffling off a $20 Amazon Gift Card! The fun begins on Monday, February 18th and ends on Sunday, February 24th. As before, you’ll be able to earn entries by guessing swag code release times.

We’ll post a reminder the night before the raffle.

Improvements for International Users and a Holiday Raffle!

To celebrate the holiday season, we’ve made some improvements to our site! Here are some new features we’re providing:

  1. Country-specific categories — if you’re an international user, you can now subscribe to email updates sent only when a code in your country is available. Simply subscribe to the “Global Swag Codes” and “<Your country here> Swag Codes” to get all updates!
  2. Country-specific twitter/SMS updates — our SMS updates are done through twitter. Now we have a twitter account specific to each country. Please visit the Text Alerts page for more information.

We’re also announcing a RAFFLE! It’ll take place between December 16th, 2012 and December 22nd, 2012. You’ll have several ways to earn entries, and we’ll be giving away some fabulous prizes at the end of the raffle.

Once per day, you can submit a code guess. Your task is to guess the expiration time and the value of any swagcode released on the day you guess.

Here’s how you can earn entries:

  1. You earn 1 entry every time you submit a code guess (once per day). This means you’ll have seven chances to guess.
  2. You earn 5 entries if you guess the expiration time within 30 minutes of any code released on the day of, but after your guess.
  3. You earn 5 entries if you guess the value of any code released on the day of, but after your guess.
  4. You can earn 10 entries by liking our Facebook page. If you’ve already liked our Facebook page, you can still earn these entries.
  5. You can earn 10 entries by following us on Twitter. If you’ve already followed us, you can still earn these entries.

In the event that Swagbucks doesn’t release any codes on a particular day, you still earn entries by submitting a guess, but you won’t be able to earn entries for guessing anything correctly.

At the end of the raffle, we will randomly choose five lucky winners. Each entry you earn gives you one chance to win. The prizes are:

  1. 2x $25 Amazon Gift Cards
  2. 2x $50 Amazon Gift Cards
  3. 1x $100 Amazon Gift Card

Check back with us on Sunday morning! The raffle starts then.

Email Notifications

A few weeks ago, our hosting provider moved us onto a new server. This caused our IP addresses to change, and we’ve been having trouble sending mail from them. People using gmail and hotmail shouldn’t be having problems, but those using email from their ISPs (comcast, roadrunner, verizon, cox, etc.) are. We’re taking measures to fix this, but in the mean time, if you’re having trouble and you’d like to get notifications, please sign up using a gmail address.

Hi Everyone,

We’re sincerely sorry about our recent bout of downtime.  There were some problems with our host that were out of our control.  We’re still making improvements to the site, but hopefully we won’t see any more serious problems.  To avoid missing codes, please follow us on twitter!

I made some enhancements to our email notification system, and it appears to be working much better than it was before.  Code alerts should be sent out to everyone within a few minutes of the post being made (as opposed to several hours after).  If you haven’t already, you can sign up for e-mail notifications here:

Sc-s Toolbar

Hey everyone,  letting you all know that changes will be made to the toolbar within the next few days. These changes are to comply with the TOS of Conduit and so that we don’t get pestered by Swagbucks. Unfortunately some tools/features will be removed becuase of that reason. However we will try to keep as many helpful tools/features as possible so that you can have the most use out of the toolbar.
We will also be doing the alerts a bit different, so hopefully Conduit will allow us to do it that way. Another cool feature that will remain will be the e-mail notifier(blue envelope). It’s a really neat tool, because you can set it to make a noise when you receive a new e-mail. We have done some tweaks to the e-mail notifications, so this new way should be quite helpful.

Hey Everyone,

Codemaster here and I just want to give out a little reminder to those who don’t know, please DO NOT have your Swagbucks referral link of email that you use for Swagbucks in your name on the chat. Swagbucks are aware of our site and they do watch the chat. So do not put those links in the URL/Email section. If you get banned from Swagbucks we are not liable.  Also many people have been breaking rules lately so please follow the rules or you will be banned.
